Character Creation

Anima

Anima Beyond Fantasy is a tabletop RPG that provides and unparalleled amount of options for character creation and powers.  It is hard to think of an ability that can’t already be replicated using the systems many options that include simple martial prowess with weapons and armor, the mastery of Ki through the training of body and mind, Magical theory and arcane rituals,  the exploitation of the mind through psychic powers,  the summoning of supernatural creatures, and the calling of power beyond the realm of comprehension.

While the system did its best incorporate every possible source and ability it came with the drawback of becoming a very complex and daunting system that requires hours of reading through the many manuals to grasp all of it’s complexities and rules.  On the other hand this makes it the perfect system to bring almost any anime to the table.  To that extent I’m making this blog to help new players go through the process of creating their own character as well as creating famous characters as examples.

If your low on money consider getting your rpg group to chip in to buy the pdf format books and then just share the file.  Considering that most people have either laptops of tablets it is a very cheaper alternative to actually buying the books.

The first step will be to go through the steps of character creation to explain how it works and how it affects a character in more ways that just mechanics, to that extent here is a list of articles and a brief explanation on what is contained in each.

Step 1: Attribute allocation and how it affects a character

Step 2Advantages & Disadvantages – More than just a simple edge

Step 3: Distribution of Development Points – The real power behind the Character

WARNING: The English core book is the outdated version and not the updated Core Exxet (only available in Spanish) which made some significant changes to the system making it easier to use.
